16:00	Roosting around the large lagoon north of Moat Farm. 2860 is a rough, best estimate. The birds were just coming in too fast, with several flocks of over 100 and some over 150, to get an accurate estimate. It appears that numbers have increased since my count of 1000+ on 17th Nov, although conditions were better, and it was definitely up on my count 300+ on 30th Oct. It certainly was quite a spectacle. Birds were arriving between 3:40pm and 4:30pm with a peak around 4pm.

18:08	Birds approaching from the west between 15:45 and 16:30 dropped in to the scrub on the Central Plain. Other flocks passed over before turning to approach the main roost around the Main Pond from the north west. The Central Plain roosters are in addition to those counted yesterday in the main roost so the total number of roosting Redwings at the Wapsey's site is around the 6,000 mark. I think this is the largest roost count ever for Bucks .

18:11	An amazing spectacle with birds counted as they flew in to roost from the north easterly and the north westerly direction. There were several hundred more also dropping in to the central area of the site and another hundred or so by the eastern ponds.. This is a huge roost which appears to be increasing by the day. .

18:03	A fantastic sight as the birds arrived to roost in the bushes around the main pond on the east side from 15:45 until 16:30 when full darkness descended. They were arriving from the north east in flocks between 20 and 150 and were counted as they arrived in the failing light. If birds arrived from the un-seen west they were not counted so this may well be an underestimate of the numbers present at this massive roost. the birds were dropping in around me as I stood there, a fantastic spectacle.
