	juv. L. l. limosa The large long billed presumed female bird found by Jason on 28/7 was still present along the stream during early afternoon. Today there were several L. l. icelandica juvenile birds amongst the many adult icelandica for comparison. Later in the evening Jason saw it and another L. l. limosa fly down and land along the stream after I had unsuccessfully tried showing the original bird to two birders. After arriving at the spot I watched the two birds fly up together and fly to the lake. The new bird was noticeably smaller, presumably a male but was almost identical in plumage. It had a little marking on at least one of it's tertials, but very reduced compared to the nearby L. l. Icelandica.

	juv. L. l. limosa subspecies known as Continental or Western black-tailed godwit. Still present along the stream from last night when my brother Jason first spotted it while we were talking to T. Doran. A big godwit with long legs, a big long neck and a very long bill noticeably longer than the many nearby icelandica Black-tailed godwit. Compared to the icelandica birds, it was a plain looking bird and had much reduced colour on the head and underparts. The mantle, scapular and covert feathers were plainer and more uniform but were scalloped with thin pale edges. The tertials lacked patterning except for thin pale edges. I will post some poor record shots.
