3D G H Mills106All birds seen or heard in, or from, the garden which is situated in an elevated position amongst paddocks and light woodland on the village edge, overlooking the Meon Valley, Beacon Hill and Old Winchester Hill. The Grey Partridges and Turtle Doves present when we arrived in 1998 are long gone, replaced by daily Red Kites, Mediterranean Gulls and egrets!24/12/2025

5S Ingram101From 149 Monks Way in Eastleigh. Aug 2000-Mar 2019. Now moved so not going to improve on this total. Best birds were Rose-coloured Starling, Red-rumped Swallow & Waxwing. Close with Avocet, Goosander & Hen Harrier but my feet weren't in the garden :-( Mark Edgeller has seen a great White Egret fly over my house :-)08/04/2019

Includes flyovers and species observed from (but not actually in) the garden. First dates given but inaccurate as I only started recording at age 40 in 1993 after retiring from football - and then only noted more interesting stuff for a while. Cuckoo the only heard only.
