From the top plateau during vismig, appeared 40m to North and flew East into milky sun. Seen for 5 seconds. Low over ground (6 feet) in a direct flight jinking upwards for a split second to 3 feral pigeons, (approx their size) then continued, other than dull brown with moustachial stripe no other colour due to light. Strong fast rapid flight with deep wingbeat.

Female. Seen from road north of Dorothy Bolton. Scanned through group of starling/thrushes and saw what first thought was Mistle Thrush flying low along hedge away from main group. Watched as flew 200m and picked up on falcon flight. Landed on dead branch of tree. Got scope on it - brown markings on back, relatively long tail and when turned head obvious hood.
