| 18:30 | Was working in my garden just before dusk and I heard a Grey Partridge calling. It was swiftly answered by another in another part of the field and then another and another. In all I heard about 5 separate birds calling all from different locations. They then went quiet but about 10 minutes later I heard the sound of Partidges taking flight. I looked up to see a least 20 of them flying low across to an adjacent field. I guess the calling was their way of meeting up before going to roost. . | |||
