At least 3 Mealy-types in with the Lesser flock, pallid in plumage and rather grey with obvious mantle braces, a convex bill, obvious feathered tarsi, pure white (rather than buff) wing-bars and cloaked feathering on both the nape and hindneck.

Mobile flock, moving between Birch trees on the heath and neighbouring Birches in King's Wood & Rushmere NNR. Flock contained at least 3 pale 'Mealy' types although many Lesser are now bleaching as the plumage wears.

Still approx 80 birds around but very mobile and splitting into small groups. One pale, larger bird was a good candidate for Mealy but flock flew off before I could get a proper look.
