fem. This bird looked very much like a Common Redstart but habitat (as in buildings where Black Redstarts frequent) and time of year appeared to be very wrong. After various discussions, this bird could be either an Eastern Black Redstart, a Hybrid OR very late Common Redstart. The bird was originally seen by S. Smith which he considered unusual. I then took a number of photos in order for us to obtain a closer look. Jury appears to be out on this one at the moment - see Gallery.
