| My first Glossy Ibis, watched for about half an hour from the iron trunk hide as it fed around one of the shallow pools. Still present when I left. Superb find by A Beolens. | ||||

| 17:35 | Flew from the area by Iron trunk hide round to the left by the River Ouse. Had a look round that side but no sign. Lots of areas not visible though. | |||

| 09:43 | Flew in from the west, circled the spit and landed on the west side at 09:43am. Still present when I left c10:00, but apparently flew off just after I left. | |||

| 17:45 | Unaware of M.K sighting at 14:50 from hide 1, B.H.Gulls going berserk at South end of lake, bigger black bird was cause and without bins thought Cormorant but noticed slimmer and quicker. Bins on and Glossy Ibis ! It was low, flew past me in hide, doubled back and think wanted to land on cut Reed area ? Harassed by more gulls, went high and off towards sail lake. Eventually got it again circling sail lake high, then it went back to BBOWT and descended. Went higher again and last seen very high, circling and drifting S/W, gave Gallows bridge an hour but no joy. Attempted pics on compact but think best will be a pixelated blob ??? Lower flight quick and higher slower but very bright, I just clicked blind really ! A totally unexpected first for Calvert and my list and Bucks first for me. | |||
