| 15:30 | Picked it up being harassed by a gull. It was flying west up the lakes towards me and I briefly lost it. Edging forward in the car I realised it had landed just 20 yds in front of me. | My first ever "grounded" Whimbrel for the Tattenhoe area watched for about 40 mins foraging around damp field between 2 that are marked for development before flushed by an unknowing walker at the opposite end, flying off to the north east. Image in the gallery. | ||||
