There were about 10 young in the colony, At one point a Hobby arrived low over the water, the whole colony took to the air and several adults attacked it and drove it away from the colony. | |||

A minimum of 11 chicks on the main pontoon, with pairs with chicks mainly having 2 each but some very difficult to see in the vegetation. 3 very large chicks very close to fledging, the rest downy young of varying sizes but most quite small. These 11 chicks were with 7 pairs, others still sitting. | |||
