Still present from this time at the falls until 0915 when I left. It flew off west at one point but was discovered by other birders not too far away on the south side of the rye feeding from 'boarding' along the waters edge, put there to stop the bank caving in.

Bird still present. Matt, the spokesman for the manor school nearby has ordered that nobody should view the bird from anywhere other than at the waterfall at the east end of The Rye. He doesn't want anybody in the vicinity of his girl school armed with binoculars, telescopes or cameras. He was very distressed and told everybody present to leave. He said if it continued, he would call the police.

Really close views as it flew low along The Dyke going from east to west. I was near the car park + it just kept going until lost from sight. Looking in books at home I cannot recall seeing a lighter brown belly so this might have been a Black-bellied Dipper.
