First seen flying in from the SE while we were in the garden having dinner. Knew it was something different as it was flying mostly on bowed wings and thought Osprey as it was quite white looking. Ran inside to grab my bins and as I got back outside it was virtually overhead. I got my bins on it and the most noticeable feature was heavy barring on the breast and underparts extending onto the wings against a white background. Also the small head looked greyish and the tail was obviously longer than a Common Buzzard and rounded at the tip. We watched it as it disappeared over the house heading NW. An incredible bird to see over the garden!
