Red-backed Shrike

6/8/14- closest it came to me whilst laying down waiting for it to pop up below watchpoint.It vanished during the high winds from hurricane Bertha battering it's West slope area.Day before it was struggling to cling onto bushes, to me the nightime weather wasn't right for migrating, when weather bad on these open tops Redstarts etc move to sheltered base areas.Suspected it might have done this but if did failed to find it !
