Poor GS. He'd was on the Common when I arrived and had not seen the Ruff. Neither of us could and 20 mins later he departed, I moved to the East side to view the Berks flood. A few mins later I gave the shoreline of the flood a scan with my bins and couldn't believe I was seeing not one but TWO Ruff. Can you come & go again GS. LOL.

Negative news		Arrived at about two and another birder told me that it had flown off about fifteen minutes before I came. It headed off in an easterly direction he told me.

Lovely male with Black Ruff just losing some of it's finery. Favouring the west end of the flood, exactly where last years bird was and it may even be the same individual with it being the same colouring. I'll post photos latter.

Found by Ben Miller. Was very mobile around the Marsh Islands for most of the afternoon. Still present when the reserve closed, favouring the northern point of the west island.

I found it initially outside the Octagon hide, it was then spooked by gulls and moved to the West Island. Still present 13:00.
