The amazing 15 Spoonbills that were present at Wilstone Reservoir took off from there at just before 1140. They then gained height and drifted East, getting into formation somewhere over Tring, they then went North briefly. They turned and then headed South and then more probably more south-west. They were now at a reasonable height and difficult to see against clear blue skies. They entered Bucks somewhere near Drayton Manor is my best guess but Dancersend is the nearest location I can see for here. At least 2 of the flock were wearing colour rings showing their origin to be in the Netherlands. What a fantastic sight and spectacle. Many Thanks to Mike Collard and Rob Andrews for getting the news out.

Seen flying low over the A5, we were right underneath it when it turned to fly over the Wymbush ind. est. It was flying low and slow, so you could not miss that bill!
