female/imm. Bird flushed from reeds during a ringing session on the bund. Note this is a permit only site.

female/ imm. The bird was perched on a post on the far side of the hay meadow for the whole of my visit and did not fly once. Preening and generally looking about. A female/ immature bird and with a pale patch on the upper breast. Maybe a wandering bird from Otmoor or a dispersing migrant from further afield. Found earlier by Richard Goodlad. Lack of flight views meant I am unable to clarify as to sex and age of the bird.

f./juv. Over fences/ditch bordering W end main meadow. Eventually dropped down into gap between fences and started plucking black feathers from carrion, then eating. Remained in same area (occasional forays across twds Three Ponts Meadow) until flew off W at 16:10, last seen heading NW over Three Points.

juv. Flying along Eastern boundary of main lake south. Time current. Only put as probable due to unlikely hood of such a sighting but as a Norfolk birder I am familiar with type. SP835430. Please note that a permit is required for access to this site.
