Amazingly, the soaring RK's and Buzz's joined by a non-vocal Peregrine, quite a sight! SU5883.

male. Peregrine was seen circling above a Hen Harrier as it was hunting low over Greenaways, and dived down to try and catch a snipe that the Harrier flushed. Missed the snipe but soon returned to use the same method of circling high over the Harrier, hoping for an easy meal. Nothing else flushed, so after a while the Peregrine drifted away.

A lot of noise from Blackbird alarm calls, W Pig's scattering then, low over the hedgerow, came not a Sprawk, but a very surprising Peregrine! Classic silhouette in the poor light, a couple of slowish but powerful wingbeats, then over the road and heading approx W toward Cholsey... closest ever had one here. SU5985.

Both together in tree distantly on far side of main lake. One small, adult plum, presumably male. Other a sub-adult plum, clearly larger, presumably female. The sub-adult had a distinctive white patch on the nape.

juv. Seen flying low over waterlogged fields. Large numbers of Fieldfares (200+), Redwings (50+), Linnets (40+) and Yellowhammers (20+)feeding in fields. Peregrine was likely to be targeting these birds. SU534935.
