Large flock flew in calling loudly. Settled in middle of meadow a little north of the Burgess Field gate. When I finished my walk around the meadow an hour later I saw 2 smaller groups very close to the Burgess Field gate.

Most birds had yellow rings with black letter/numbers. These birds were ringed in July 2022 at Knowsley Safari Park in Merseyside.

Came in with large grey geese flock. I don't often note down this species even if present owing to fact its known there are Feral barnacles in oxon. I know there's been a definite wild barnacle in a neighbouring county, evidenced by its colour ring. Sadly I only saw the bird swimming.
