05/08/22Wood WarblerLittle Marlow - Emmetts Fields1J E Rose
08:00
Feeding in a hedgerow at the top of Emmetts fields. It was extremely active moving from bush to bush and often "leaping" up to take an insect a foot or so above where it was perched. The yellow supercillium and dark eyestripe stood out, as did the very yellow cheeks and upper breast. When it flew away from me I could see very white underparts and this contrasted with a dark tail. The wings appeared longer that a typical Chiff or Willow Warbler. Legs were a pale/medium colour. Not possible to get a photo as it was so active.
