The Brambling were settled at the top of the thicket basking in the last rays of the sun before going to roost - hence able to make a much more accurate count. Let’s hope they stay for the winter. They have given much pleasure and afforded many photographic opportunities for visiting birders as the blog testifies. SP314249.
