Since moving here April 2017, I've noted but not studied red kites around house. Every year they've been very vocal March onwards. I assumed some nested but never looked. Usually a/ some 2cy birds involved. I assumed they could breed at that age if rarely. Using lock down to watch them a bit more. Birds often perch in neighbours' large trees. One neighbour being Jim H. Birds perch, ccasionally eating usually calling a lot in am. At least 1 is 2cy. Other, an adult, or near. literature surprisingly poor on role of calls. Have seen one/ them collecting twigs. Will see if I learn anything. SP403032.
