| mixed. they were feeding in the field by the lake on the opposite side to the house,probably more than 120 but difficult to count. | ||||

| ad. I was nearly convinced that this was a different bird but a) lost track of it and b) could not find another - but worth checking if you see one. It appeared to have small white triangles on the closed wingtip (regular one has a long, blunt-ended, angled crescent of white), bigger white mirrors (or a bigger second one, nearly equal) and more typically rounded tertials (on regular one, often look narrower-tipped). | ||||
