Actually on the beach, which is unusual for cormorants/shags here. Great views of a tricky species to ID for me.

Negative news
Dead on beach. Fairly sure on ID as bill details didn't fit Common nor did wing tips. This is a hard species to see live at Calshot. Another scarce for my growing deceased seabird year list...

Off the lifeboat station slipway, at times very close to the shore.

The 2 adults and a juvenile still present, one feeding alongside a BHG provided a great size comparison. Almost petrel like when they dip down onto the water with their legs dangling.

First time I have seen it at the millpond for quite a long time.

Great views of adult and juv moving up and down the shoreline. Seemingly not too bothered by people, came past very close. Also another dead Guillemot on north side of the spit, recently deceased as it still had eyes intact.

Not as numerous as they usually are lately. Also yesterday first GND and cormorants I have seen here in over a week, GND not here today.

Still present. The remains of the Guillemot were also still there, weirdly still pretty in tact considering it has been there at least 3 days and the number of crows/gulls/rats around.

Negative news
Tideline corpse on north side of spit behind sailing club. A shame as never seen a live one here.
