| 17:45 | A pair observed with one bird "dipping" it's body and seemingly examining parts of a oak tree, maybe judging potential nest holes although it only crouched and wasn't seen to enter a hole. Possibly the crouching was also to entice mating, hard to be certain as no mating occured as I watched. A nearby 3rd bird was singing but further away than in the morning. SU973875. | |||
