| loosely with M Pipits; flew towards seawall, low and close,calling strongly a loud distinctive "schreep", circled a few times as if to land but flew back and dropped into long grass; not seen again despite staking it out for 3 hours; clearly a large pipit with bounding not hesitant flight, like a yellow wagtail; plumage basically brown uppers, white outertail feathers seen when dropping into grass; unders not well seen as I was shouting and waving at the time! | ||||
