| 16:15 | A pair is stunning summer plumage and stood on the emerging sand spit. One of the birds had a colour ring on it's left leg. Red "PTJ?" The last letter could not be read before the flock flushed. The bird would appear to be from a Polish scheme. Details awaited. | |||

| Colour ringed. Returning German-ringed bird (Yellow ring with code AY.ZY) re-found by Mike Wallen. Spotted stood among a mixed gathering of gulls on the largely frozen lake in the early afternoon but not present when I went back past nearer sunset. | ||||
