The Spade Oak juvenile had fortunately relocated here and was roosting with 330+ large white-headed gulls on the banking, after the falconer had been scaring the gulls away from the rubbish. After a while, the birds returned to feed, the bulky Glauc joining in in the frenzy. It was a typical bleached juvenile, appearing extremely white in flight, with a large pink bill dipped in ink at the tip. David J Bevan and I observed it for about 15 minutes before the flock returned to the bank and it could not be relocated.
