| 16:58 | Watched from Mill farm, Chenies with Grahame Higgins. Last seen at 15.45 dropping down towards Mount Wood direction where seen by Lee slightly earlier. It would seem likely that it roosts in the wood . Afternoon would seem to be the best chance to catch up with it. Seen on both sides of the Bucks/ Herts county boundary. | |||

| 15:00 | juv. Third time lucky. Not long after Michael and others had just seen it, the juvenile reappeared from the Chorleywood direction at 2.50pm and flew along Mount Wood and over Crestyl Farm. It then continued until Dodds Weir Pools, where it fished unsuccessfully for some time before once more returning to Mount Wood at 3.35pm. John Edwards and Grahame Higgins then saw it again just after I left. | |||

| 13:30 | Flew over the lakes heading West towards Floodplain Forest. Sighting reported to Hiddensee Bird Ringing Centre - confirmation received back that: wearing Black ring code CT51 left leg, ringed as a nestling on 27/06/2023 at Zierzow, Germany, mast 58 (place: Mucklenburgische Seenplatte, 53,2522N, 12,34,31E). Subsequently sighted at Culemborg in the Netherlands on 12/08/2023 (51,5830N, 5,1455E) 46 days after ringing, 520 km from ringing site; then at Linford Lakes on 26/10/2023 121 days after ringing, 911 km West of ringing site - so our Bucks bird is only 4 months old and has been travelling due West since leaving the nest!
