Buckinghamshire live!
A Buckinghamshire service is now live. This service will be run by the Bucks Bird Club. It will also be available directly from the club website. Records of "scarce" species will be immediately and automatically sent to the BucksBirders Yahoo Group.
Some extra features were added specifically for Bucks but are now available across the network. Some of these are available now while others require some customisation.
- There is now a "map view" where the day's sightings are plotted on a map. Click "Map view" on the Bird News page.
- Content can be made available directly from the club website (admin please contact me).
- Email Alerts can be sent to the county Yahoo Group (admin please contact me).
- Site notes (special instructions) can be automatically added to records. i.e. to include text like "Permit holders only". See "Sites" on the admin pages.
- Admin can create new site records from user-entered sites. See "Observer Sites" on the admin pages.
- "Species Order" and "Site Grid Ref" fields added to the export facility. See "Export" on the admin pages.
- Observers must now confirm that they really want to delete a record before the record is deleted.
- An observer can only register an email address once.
- Minor refinements to the "Submit Sightings" page.
